Buzzkiki is designed to be a safe, positive, and empowering digital environment for people aged 16 and over. We comply with the UK Online Safety Act (OSA) and take reasonable and proportionate steps to:

• Prevent illegal content

• Reduce exposure to harmful content for users aged 16–17

• Protect users from bullying, harassment, and abuse

• Promote digital wellbeing

• Provide clear reporting and appeals processes

• Enforce our policies consistently and transparently

Safety is not an add‑on — it is built into the core of Buzzkiki.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This Safety Policy applies to:

• All users of Buzzkiki

• All creators and fan communities

• All content posted, shared, or transmitted on the Platform

• All interactions between users

• All third‑party integrations used within Buzzkiki

3. Age Requirements & Age Assurance

3.1 Minimum Age

Buzzkiki is for users aged 16+.

3.2 Age Verification

To comply with the OSA, we use age‑assurance measures, which may include:

• Document verification

• Third‑party age‑verification services

• Behavioural signals

• Device‑level checks

If we cannot verify your age, we may restrict or suspend access.

4. Illegal Content

We do not allow any content or behaviour that is illegal under UK law, including:

• Child sexual abuse material

• Terrorism content

• Hate crime content

• Revenge pornography

• Fraud or scams

• Incitement to violence

• Distribution of illegal drugs

• Human trafficking content

We remove illegal content and may report it to law enforcement where required.

5. Harmful Content (16–17 Protections)

Although Buzzkiki is not a children’s service, we apply enhanced protections for users aged 16–17.

We may restrict, warn, or reduce visibility of content involving:

• Bullying or harassment

• Hate speech

• Self‑harm or suicide references

• Violence or graphic imagery

• Dangerous challenges or behaviour

• Sexual content (non‑explicit)

• Content likely to cause psychological harm

We may also apply wellbeing nudges or safety prompts.

6. Prohibited Behaviour

Users may not:

• Bully, harass, threaten, or intimidate others

• Engage in hate speech or discriminatory behaviour

• Encourage self‑harm or dangerous activities

• Impersonate others

• Share misleading or fraudulent information

• Circumvent safety systems or age‑assurance measures

• Exploit or manipulate other users

• Use the Platform for illegal or harmful purposes

7. Creator Safety Responsibilities

Creators must:

• Follow all safety rules and content restrictions

• Protect fan data

• Avoid harmful, misleading, or exploitative content

• Not offer sexual content involving real people

• Not offer raffles, gambling, or chance‑based rewards

• Not encourage dangerous behaviour

• Not use their platform to harass or target others

Creators who violate safety rules may lose monetisation or access to the Platform.

8. Safety by Design

Buzzkiki incorporates safety features into the design of the Platform, including:

• Real‑time content filtering

• Anti‑bullying and anti‑harassment tools

• No infinite scroll

• No dark patterns

• Wellbeing nudges and break reminders

• Clear reporting tools

• Age‑appropriate privacy settings

• Human‑in‑the‑loop moderation

• Behavioural risk detection

These features evolve as we improve the Platform.

9. Moderation & Enforcement

We use a combination of:

• Automated detection tools

• Human moderators trained in safeguarding

• Behavioural analysis

• User reports

Moderation actions may include:

• Content removal

• Feature restrictions

• Warnings

• Temporary suspensions

• Permanent account bans

We enforce policies consistently and without discrimination.

10. Reporting Harmful Content

Users can report:

• Harmful or abusive behaviour

• Illegal content

• Safety concerns

• Violations of our Terms or Guidelines

Reports are reviewed promptly. We may request additional information to assess the issue.

11. Appeals Process

If you believe an enforcement action was incorrect, you may submit an appeal. We will review appeals and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

12. Transparency & Accountability

We publish periodic transparency information summarising:

• Content removals

• Enforcement actions

• Safety interventions

• Moderation volumes

• Appeals outcomes

We also conduct internal audits of our safety systems.

13. Risk Assessments

To comply with the OSA, we conduct regular risk assessments covering:

• Platform‑level risks

• Feature‑level risks

• User‑journey risks

• Content‑type risks

• Safety system effectiveness

We update these assessments as the Platform evolves.

Buzzkiki is built inside All Stars Youth Club, a charity with 50+ years of safeguarding experience. We work with youth‑work professionals, wellbeing experts, and external advisors to ensure our safety approach remains robust and evidence‑based.
